Managing Your Virtual Server Remotely

The whole concept of a Virtual Server or Virtual Hosting (which is what most other hosting providers offer) is based on remote administration. Many small to medium sized business simply cannot afford to install a T1 into their office (let alone a DS3) and lay down the capital, time, and human resources necessary to maintain a dedicated connection to the Internet. A Virtual Server allows you to have a dedicated presence on the Internet and maintain it remotely via a low cost dial-up connection.

User Interfaces

We have created or provided several user interfaces that allow you to administer your Virtual Server in a comfortable environment.

  • iManager
This web-based interface is available specifically for use with our Virtual Servers. iManager provides you with familiar form interfaces (which you access with your favorite web browser) for such tasks as uploading files from your computer to your Virtual Server, managing files, managing e-mail accounts and much more.

  • Telnet or SSH
Providing shell account access to our Virtual Servers is a fundamental part of our philosophy. By using a Telnet or SSH client, you can connect to your Virtual Server from anywhere in the world, and log in as if you were sitting right in front it.

  • FTP
Ftp is by far the most widely used program used to administer a Virtual Server.
